Collab.Land Troubleshooting

On this page you will find information on how to troubleshoot issues with Collab.Land on the Elongate Discord server.

Please read this guide carefully, if you have expended all options for your problem or you do not see your problem here, please reach out to the Elongate Team or Community Moderators on the Discord.

IMPORTANT: If your Collab.Land connection fails you must close your TrustWallet app and restart Discord BEFORE trying the steps again.

I do not see the #collabland-join channel on Discord.

You must be a verified user. If you are new to our Discord, you will begin in the #welcome channel and will have to follow these steps:

• Select "Complete"
• Read and agree to the rules, check the box and select "Submit"
• Read the server welcome message and then select the 👍emoji at the bottom.

MetaMask option does not work

If using the MetaMask mobile app, please ensure that you are using the "WalletConnect" option to connect the MetaMask App and that you have select the "BNB Smart Chain" as your network.

There is no option for TrustWallet

Please use the "WalletConnect" option to connect TrustWallet.

Sign Message is not working

IMPORTANT: If you have already successfully connected your wallet to Collab.Land and your Discord profile, signing a new message on the same wallet will NOT work. In this case, you are already connected and you do not need to follow the wiki guides.

IMPORTANT: If you are restarting a Collab.Land guide please wait 5 minutes before trying again or the Sign Message option may not work.

TrustWallet (Android & iPhone) - Ensure Transaction Signing is enabled

1. Open TrustWallet app on your phone.

2. Go to "Settings" (⚙️) -> "Security" (🔒)

3. Enable "Transaction Signing"
4. Completely exit the TrustWallet app (swipe from app tray).

5. Wait 5 minutes and then restart the Collab.Land tutorial from the start.

TrustWallet (Android) - Restart Collab Connection

1. In the TrustWallet app for Android, go to "Settings" (⚙️).

2. Select "WalletConnect".

3. If the page says "Collab.Land Connect" select the back arrow (←) in the top left corner, then select "Ok". *NOTE: If the "Collab.Land Connect" prompt does not appear, skip to step 4.
4. Completely exit the TrustWallet app (swipe from app tray).

5. Wait 5 minutes and then restart the Collab.Land tutorial from the start.

MetaMask - Mobile App

1. Open the MetaMask App

2. Select the hamburger menu ( ☰ )

3. Go to "Settings" (⚙️) -> "Experimental" -> "View Sessions"

4. If you have a "connect.collab.land" session, press and hold, select "End"

5. Completely exit the MetaMask app (swipe from app tray).

6. Wait 5 minutes and then restart the Collab.Land tutorial from the start.

Defaults Reset - WalletConnect (Android) opens the wrong app

1. On Android, go to your phone settings.

2. In the settings menu, go to "Apps" and then select then search (🔎) for "TrustWallet". Select the app.

3. Select "Set as default" then select "Clear defaults".

4. Repeat Step 2 and Step 3 but search for "MetaMask".

5. Restart the Collab.Land tutorial from the start.
